Laboratory equipment according to your needs
The importance of high-quality laboratory equipment
Equipment representative of quality
Beyond precision and accuracy, quality-assured laboratory diagnostics can be characterised by speed, reliability and high safety standards. Therefore it is important to ensure that the equipment is made of high-quality materials and has organisational aids. Furthermore, the quality of laboratory results, which directly impact patient care, depends on the reliability of the laboratory's medical equipment. Only when employees can depend on this equipment can we ensure accurate results 365 days a year.
Laboratory work in medical diagnostics is usually characterised by numerous repetitive work processes in which, reliability and accuracy are of crucial importance. Medical laboratories must therefore be organised in such a way that reproducible results can be produced independently by staff. For recurring processes to be implemented logically, both clear documentation and compatible equipment are necessary. This results in a high degree of efficiency and reliability.
SARSTEDT provides reliable, high-quality laboratory equipment for medical diagnostic

Storage systems: efficiency and safety in the laboratory
Storage systems: efficient, safe, sustainable
Mass and class are representative of the work in a modern medical diagnostics laboratory. Mass for the vast quantities of samples that are processed every day. Class for the results and findings obtained for research, clinics and diagnostics. To ensure that mass and class do not become a contradiction in terms, the ideal equipment is essential for the pre-analytical preparation and storage of samples.
Sarstedt offers the ideal solution here, with its block racks made of 100% recycled plastic for 50 or 100 sample containers. Not only are they space-saving, but they can also be assembled into sample distribution blocks. Additionally, these racks are durable, stackable, and autoclavable. They are available in different sizes, and suitable for S-monovettes and tubes of various diameters from SARSTEDT. Thanks to the various availability of colours, sample allocation is guaranteed at first glance. They are also ideal for use on automatic sample distribution systems such as the BL 1200 from Sarstedt.

Secondary tubes: Efficiency in laboratory automation and sample storage
Rehearsals with a "second life"
Samples often have to be aliquoted. Sarstedt has developed its secondary tubes for this purpose, the selection of which is ideally orientated to the requirements of the existing workflow. With their conical intermediate bottom, even small volumes in these intermediate bottom tubes are suitable for direct adaptation on analysers. Secondary tubes with a rounded base simplify loading considerably and ensure a stable hold in the sample carrier. In addition, all secondary tubes with screw cap correspond to a primary container according to ADR (packing instruction P650) and the IATA guideline for sample shipping.
Secondary tubes are suitable for freezing and can be centrifuged at 4,500 x g for up to ten minutes.
Secondary tubes are also an elementary component of laboratory automation solutions, and not just from Sarstedt. For example, the customisable high-speed sorter (HSS) is used to generate barcoded secondary tubes after the primary tubes have been fed into the aliquoter and the required volumes are pipetted into them. Sample mix-ups are ruled out and the available sample volume is utilised highly efficiently.

Closures: Safety and contamination prevention
Seal samples securely
As essential transportation and storage of samples are, it is just as important that the samples are stored securely. which is generally not possible without a closure. SARSTEDT offer a wide range of closures, ensuring laboratories can find the most suitable closure for their sample tubes, and their respective field of application. SARSTEDT offer closures, which are suitable for both manual and automated sealing of samples. Types of closure we provide include; screw caps, push caps and evaporation protection for entire sample racks
The Multi Fit caps are suitable for S-Monovettes® with a diameter of 13 mm and tubes with diameters ranging from 12–17 mm due to its double-sided use. We also provide special Anti-evaporation caps for S-Monovettes® with a diameter of 15 mm. The Sarstedt archiving cap is suitable for protection from evaporation and contamination for all standard blood collection S-Monovette® and tubes with a diameter between 13–16 mm.
To eliminate the need for individual tube closures during sample handling. SARSTEDT's cover for block racks provides an efficient solution, saving valuable time.

Disposal of sharp and pointed objects
Safe disposal
With its extensive range of Multi-Safe disposal boxes, SARSTEDT offers a variety of options for disposing of sharp objects such as cannulas, needles and scalpel blades. Our range of containers accommodates all your waste disposal needs, from compact 200 ml formats to 60-L autoclavable disposal boxes for clinical waste management, we offer an optimum solution for every requirement. As a renowned manufacturer of laboratory and medical products, SARSTEDT sees it as its duty to provide appropriate disposal solutions to match the disposable products – with these measures we aim to prevent needle-stick and other sharps related injuries and overall ensure the safety of employees.
